Installation Engineering

In this area we can add a lot of value. We have a high level of installation knowledge gained through exposure to a variety of vessels/clients, and if we don’t know how at first then we know someone who does who can help. We feel we provide a niche service in this area where we straddle the disciplines of the design engineer in the office and the project engineer on the vessel, it is often the case that the people on the vessel know what they want, but have difficulty specifying what it is and people in the office are great at coming up with a solution, but are not sure if it really works in the way that is needed offshore.

Mechanical Engineering

Our common background in Red Marine is Mechanical Engineering and it is one that we intend to maintain as we grow larger. Our experience base is extremely varied so we have extensive knowledge and experience to draw upon.  It is not all about the Oil Industry, which allows a more lateral approach to problem solving to be adopted.

Structural Engineering

Although Mechanical is our core we have a good Structural arm as well.  All our engineers are capable of tackling relatively complex structural components and evaluating through a combination of hand calculations, spreadsheets and FE analysis how the design should progress or be modified. 

Electro/Hydraulic Engineering

We have a wealth of experience with the design and operation of a wide range electro/hydraulic systems. Red Marine has excellent contacts within the industry and can give support in this area by choosing the right people to work with to provide these services.
